First, a link to the world's fuzziest form of graffiti! I admit I am mostly posting this in the hope of giving people like [info]raisedbymoogles and [info]sternenstaub and [info]deepbluesquee ideas. ;) URBAN KNITTING!

Secondly, mostly for W. because I said I'd find it but also for the bemusement of other passers-by, why Hitler didn't bomb Blackpool. Logical I suppose - what's the good of taking over the world if you can't keep all the fun bits intact for your own use?

I am, moreover, consistantly amused by how the British press write up the Nazis. Stormtroopers? Goose-stepping in Blackpool?

Well, the British press got used in the forties to writing up the Nazis as figures of fun where possible - propaganda being a vital part of any war effort, of course. It does seem that the habit has stayed with us.
