Also, America, your president is awesome. (Film at 11, I know...)
Apparently Obama wrote a note for a girl who skipped school to see him at one of his public meetings, to get her out of trouble with her teacher. Story here.

Dude. I thought heads of state only did things like that in children's stories... ^_^

Laters,
Rath

PS: Her name was Kennedy. Heh.

I'm still a little pissed off at him over the don't-ask-don't-tell thing, but that was a classy thing to do.

It does have to be said that in the middle of a vastly unpopular and horribly dragging war, with political suicide lurking beneath every potential false step, is probably not a good time to ask the armed forces to get open-minded and progressive. He's already fighting enough fires in the general area of the American armed forces without lighting another one right now, so I can't really blame him for holding off for a bit longer on sorting that out.

I do still think he'll do it, though. *nods*

*sighs* I know. And I haven't lost faith in him, honest. The guy's only been in office a few months. I'm just... tired of all this crap.

*hugs*
