Six things post
This could've been a post about how miserable I was. But y'know what? Bad day, I defy you. Six things that are making me happy today!

1) Bon Jovi, because Iron Maiden may be my all-time favourite band, but Bon Jovi were my first favourite band and they still make me smile when not much else can. I am going to be unashamedly sappy and make you all listen to Thank You For Loving Me. And also It's My Life, which is very appropriate to my current mood. ^_^

2) Being into the Good Bit of my 2009 WWE calendar, ie the last five months which consists almost entirely of my favourite Superstars. This month, I have Edge smirking from my bedroom wall. There are so many worse ways to wake up than this. ^_^

3) Equilibrium, who are brilliant. I'm particularly in love with Ruf in der Wind, which is the wildest dancing song I've heard in forever. Seriously, if I put this on and shut my eyes I can feel the whole sky spin above me - it's amazing. ♥ (For the German speakers on my friendslist, here are the lyrics - and if anyone has time to poke them, I'd love to know roughly what they mean! ^_^)

4) Text from Mum, to say that the tiny stray black kitten who was outside their house at the weekend has been reunited with his owners! ^_^ I'm so relieved. Tiny kitten was very tiny, should not have been out on his own!

5) My headcast. No special reason today, I just love all of them very much and they make my life a better place by leaning over my shoulder and poking me. ♥

6) And finally, as if to justify my decision not to whinge, I got a phone call right after I started this post to ask if I wanted to come and view more houses! ^_^ Why yes, I do. Excellent!

Laters,
Rath

Okay, here we go! I apologise sincerely for the lack of poeticness, but I suck at language, and lol translated poetry:

I am the wind
the scales the peak
and the heights they patrol
and accompany the vista (thereof)

I am the wind
that chimes in the treetops
whose raucous noises
accompany (again?!) the leaves

I am the wind
that creates the waves
let the sea well up
and the breakers enrage themselves (sorry, lol English)

I am the wind
that overcomes boundaries
and lets the lands exist without ...grenzen are walls with barbed wire on them and dogs. Yes, there is a single German word for this.

I am the breath
that streaks through your house
when the lights are dying
and extinguishes the candles

I am the breeze
that drags tracks through the meadows
when the mist lights itself
and the clouds thicken

I am the blast
that fills the sails
let the beams bend
and fight off the waves

I am the storm
that has lost its mind
in never-ending rage

Say where I am
Say what I have seen (these tenses are difficult D:)
Say what's on my mind (probably)
Say what I have done (...Weeeiiisss!)

When your name is called
Then you hear me
When your colours are raised (military)
Then you see me

So you want to curse me
But do so carefully
For to do so will haunt
That which holds the power of judgement (OH GOD)

See what I have seen
See what I have been
Feel what I am
Feel what I... have thought (at a guess)
Hear what I have to say
Hear my advice
See what I am
See inside the wind

See what I am
See what the wind is!

...Phew! MAN I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF :D

Also, I am in love with this song, and I've never heard it. MP3? he asked, hopefully. ;)

Yes! I did! Just now! It's totally different, obviously, from everything else I have ever heard, so that'll take some acclimatising, but it's brilliant, isn't it? It makes my brain go WOOSH! It's loads faster than I was expecting from the pace of the lyrics, too, heh. Awesome! :D :D :D :D :D

I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I'D DANCE TO IT, EITHER!! All I know is that I want to.

^________^ You need an air guitar, really. It's headbanging music more than anything else. But yes, isn't it amazing?

You are very welcome, as always. When are you leaving for the North? I have a gift for you. It is more music, I'm afraid; a copy of something I own, but you have to hear it, if only for the industrial/metal cover of Rock Me Amadeus that it contains.

I'm leaving at the end of September, if all goes to plan.

And that sounds like something I want very badly, yes. Thank you!

That gives us plenty of time for at least one last drink together! I will give it to you in person.

(Perhaps even another film night if calendars allow? We must get our hands on a copy of Dead Snow, which looks dreadful. Do you have it?)

Excellent! We should certainly do this.

And I don't, but I'd be interested to see it. It definitely does look dreadful. :)

Absolutely! Yes, it does look appalling. Perfect! I shall seek out a copy - I don't anticipate it being particularly expensive, and we are always looking for more Dreadful Films for the Things To Watch And Laugh At collection to counter Lupie's obsessive hoarding of Almodovar and del Toro films...

Are you still up for having a shadow tomorrow afternoon? For I need place and time details please! Hopefully my interview next week will go really well so that I don't need to take your job but I would quite like to see what you do anyway.

Yes! Sheraton House, Castle Park on Castle Hill, any time after about one thirty. Say hello to the nice people in reception and tell them you're here to see Kit at Kynesim and they will summon me from my lair...

3) Equilibrium, who are brilliant. I'm particularly in love with Ruf in der Wind, which is the wildest dancing song I've heard in forever.

...although, I'd have gone with the two tracks immediately before this, the behemoths (by their standards, not a certain bunch of Finns I could mention) that are Die Weide und der Fluß and Des Sängers Fluch.

This reminds me, there's something in the post for you... soon.

Funnily enough neither of those two really grab me by comparison. Ruf in der Wind just has something in the melody line that absolutely blows me away. *shrugs*

For the record, first item of mail received today, awaiting any further dispatches with interest... thank you!
